About
Hi, I'm Edina. Welcome to The Spanish Guitar Hub. Here you can learn a little about my musical journey, my teaching philosophy and the books, courses and recordings I've created over the years.
My musical journey began more than 25 years ago when I started learning guitar as a self-taught player. After playing for a couple of years and hearing the beautiful playing of Paco de Lucía, I became passionate about flamenco guitar and wanted to understand the technique, rhythm and expression behind the music.
I began taking private flamenco lessons with András Varga and, after moving to the UK, continued my studies with Francisco Antonio and Ramón Ruiz. I also explored other musical approaches through jazz lessons with Adrian Miller and improvisation lessons with Quist.
I first started sharing teaching videos on YouTube, where they reached a much wider audience than I had expected. Seeing how many guitarists found the lessons helpful encouraged me to pursue teaching more seriously and to develop a clearer, step-by-step approach to explaining technique, rhythm and musical ideas.
This gradually led me to create structured online courses, books and practical learning resources for students around the world. In 2018, I also became a registered guitar tutor certified by the University of West London, achieving a distinction.
I believe anyone can learn to play the guitar, regardless of age or perceived ability. If you think you don't have a sense of rhythm or you're too old to start, I hope to show you that, with the right step-by-step approach and regular practice, you can achieve far more than you might imagine.
I believe learning the guitar should be enjoyable as well as challenging. That's why I've designed my books and courses so that each lesson builds naturally on the previous one, helping you develop your technique and musical confidence through clear explanations, practical exercises and enjoyable repertoire.
Over the years, I’ve created a growing collection of guitar books and online courses covering Spanish guitar, flamenco, music theory, rhythm, improvisation and technique. Many are available in both formats, so students can choose the way they prefer to learn.

Alongside teaching, performing and recording continue to be important parts of my musical life, both as a solo guitarist and as one half of the award-winning Spanish guitar duo De Fuego.
As a solo performer, my repertoire combines Spanish, Classical and Flamenco guitar with my own original compositions. I was also the resident guitarist for Afternoon Tea at The Ritz London, where I regularly performed Spanish guitar for guests from around the world.
Alongside my solo performances, I am one half of the award-winning Spanish guitar duo De Fuego. With De Fuego, we have performed at major festivals including Glastonbury Festival and Sziget Festival, as well as concerts, weddings, corporate events and private functions throughout the UK and Europe.
De Fuego performs an energetic mix of flamenco, rumba, Latin influences and original instrumental music. Alongside our live performances, we have released three full-length albums.
In my free time, I love nature and hiking, growing organic food on my allotment, eating healthily, going to concerts and, of course, playing the guitar.

Alongside many other recordings, arrangements and educational projects, these are my full-length album releases as a solo artist and with De Fuego.
